How do you play the game?

You will see a world map screen with 11 banners which tell you how many rocks there are to find in each area, plus how many you've already found. When you click on one of these banners it will take you to a game board covered in squares.

Rub each square and a lighter background will be revealed. When you rub the squares sometimes rocks and crystals will be revealed and and an alert will pop up asking if you want to scan the rock or crystal to see what you have found.

A scanning animation will play and information about the rock or crystal you have just found will be shown.

The rock or crystal will be added to your collection on the Rocks and Crystals Collection screen.

How do I view information about the rocks and crystals I have found in the game?

Any rocks or crystals you find in the game will be added to your Rocks and Crystals Collection screen. To view information on each one, go to the Rocks and Crystals Collection screen, click on the rock or crystal you want to find out more about and it will take you to a fact file screen with information on it.

How many rocks and crystals are there to find?

There are currently 48 rocks and crystals to find over 11 boards. We may add to this in further updates.

How do you get to the Rocks and Crystals Collection?

From the world map page there is a large button with an icon of a crystal, click this to view your Rocks and Crystals Collection.

Can I play again once I have found all the rocks and crystals?

Yes, you need to go to the settings screen by clicking the settings button on the menu. This is accessed by clicking the top-left menu button on the world map screen. You should see a 'restart game' button, clicking this and following the prompt will wipe all the saved data so that you can restart the game. Doing this will also wipe all the rocks and crystals saved in the Rocks and Crystals Collection.

Can I turn off the sound effects and music?

Yes, these can be controlled on the settings screen. Click the music and sound effects buttons to toggle on and off.

Do I need a data connection to play or view rocks and crystals info?

No, no data connection is needed to play once the app has been installed on a device. It works offline.

Does the app show advertisements?

No, there are no advertisements shown on the app.

Do I have to subscribe to use the app?

No, there are no subscriptions on the app.

Are there any offers where I get asked for in app payments? For example to buy tokens or prizes.

No, there are no instances during game play where you would be asked to make a purchase.

Do you have to register for an account to play?

No you do not have to register an account to play or use the app.

Do I have to pay to use the app?

Yes, you need to purchase the app from Apple App Store, Amazon App Store or Google Play Store. Once installed there are no more costs.

Why do I have to pay to download and install the app when so many apps are free?

Every app has costs to create and maintain it. Many apps contain subscriptions, offer paywalls and advertisements to fund the app costs. As this app was designed for children to play we felt that parents would be more comfortable with paying for the app to be downloaded rather than with an app which contained offer paywalls and advertisements which can be difficult to police.

Do you collect any personal information?

No we don't collect any information from the app - either about you or your device.
